Bridal Seamstress & Alteration Pricing
“How much are wedding dress alterations?” is the question we’re asked the most. We offer a very bespoke service. No body or surgery is the same, hence why we have alterations and make the dress a perfect fit for you.
Pricing a gown before we’ve seen it in person can be tricky. Manufacturing techniques change and fabrics are not always as they seem in photos.
However, we think it’s really important to know what these charges may be before you commit to working with us.

We can offer you a bespoke estimate after we’ve been in touch, after we’ve seen photos of the gown and when we know the designer. Please use the below prices as a guide and do contact us if you have any questions.
Typically, the most frequently required alterations cost £450 – £650.
We work on a three-fitting system, usually twelve, eight and four weeks before the wedding, if time and my diary allow. Fitting Fees are laid out below. Three fittings must be booked to secure your time with us. If your alterations are particularly challenging then additional fittings may be offered; these extra middle fittings are charged at £35.
A final Steam of your gown is included in your quote, and it will be undertaken fully ready for your final fitting date. Exceptions to this are; if it is the only service you require, you require an additional steam closer to the wedding or if you are having your fittings at an affiliate store. With affiliate stores we need to transport your gown back often on the day of your fitting, in these cases some of the stores we work with offer an additional steam ( please enquire for prices and timescales with the store) Or we will offer advice on how to steam your gown prior to your wedding day and share our favourite hand held steamer.

Up to 3 fittings £95 payable at the time of booking as a non-refundable booking fee.
First Fitting
45 – 60 minutes

20 – 30 minutes

The % fee is added to the alterations costs not fitting charges. They are standard if we can accommodate it in our fitting schedule.
